Successful Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
More active visitors

Search engines have become an indispensable part of daily life. Although the introduction of artificial intelligence and new AI search engines like Perplexity will soon sustainably change the function of search engines and the way they display search results, it will still be of great importance in the future whether and how companies can be found online.

We help our clients acquire new customers through search engine optimization in a sustainable manner. An investment in SEO is medium- to long-term in nature, but it is very worthwhile. Companies that can be found exactly where potential customers are searching have a much greater chance of sustainably opening up new markets and engaging existing ones—without expensive, locally limited marketing campaigns whose effects quickly dissipate.

Our Services: SEO as Comprehensive Optimization of Your Marketing

A good ranking on Google & Co. alone should not be the goal of search engine optimization. Rather, all SEO measures should aim to turn visitors into active customers. Here are the measures we offer to help you achieve this goal:

Keyword Research

We identify the search terms (keywords) that your target audience enters when looking for offers like yours. From these, we determine the most promising ones for you, depending on competition, effort, and many other factors.

SEO Analysis and Strategy

We sit down with you and analyze your situation—and that of your competitors. In this step, we identify the individual issues that currently prevent visitors from finding your offers and becoming customers (conversions).

On-Page Optimization

We optimize your website to provide visitors with the best possible experience, encouraging them to take action (depending on the goal: inquire, purchase, subscribe, etc.). This optimization includes technical and content aspects.

Off-Page Optimization

We engage in active reputation management for you, meaning we direct as many good links to your website as possible and try to repel "bad" links. The goal here is to enhance the reputation and ranking of the website in search engines.

Technical SEO

If not already done in the on-page optimization, we optimize the overall performance of your website, focusing on overarching points such as loading time, loading behavior, accessibility, and technical error-free operation.

Monitoring & Reporting

We monitor the progress of our measures in regular reports on the positioning in the desired keywords, conversion rates, and the technical and content-related framework data.

The Big Goal in SEO: Conversions

Many companies make a serious mistake regarding their search engine optimization: they consider a higher reach on the internet to be the decisive success factor. They try by all means to attract visitors to their website—only to realize that little comes of it other than high visitor numbers.

A highway construction site To gain more customers, one does not first need to widen the road in front of the construction site, but rather eliminate the bottleneck.

EXAMPLE FROM THE ANALOG WORLD

It does not matter how wide the highway is in front of a construction site or how much traffic there is. If there are still construction sites or bottlenecks, little will come out at the end. This value is referred to in modern terms as the "conversion rate".

Of course, you need a lot of traffic at the front for a lot to come out at the back. Naturally, a high reach and brand awareness on the internet are desirable. But the actual measures must focus on completing the construction sites so that traffic can flow again!

The great art of search engine optimization is to achieve as many lasting conversions as possible with as little effort as possible. So do not be misled by people who advise you...

  • ...to only focus on rankings on Google & Co.
  • ...to only pay attention to certain keywords without providing concrete numbers such as search volume and competition.
  • ...to want to optimize only one of the above aspects without analysis—SEO must always be viewed holistically.

FAQ about Search Engine Optimization

It is true that well-executed SEO is a long-term investment. But it is an investment that is definitely worth it, with a high "return on investment" (ROI). It does not necessarily have to be expensive. Of course, it depends on the individual case, but even small measures can have a significant effect on the visitor numbers and conversions of a website. Especially when comparing SEO to other forms of marketing, it performs well. While other measures are often short-term and quickly dissipate, good rankings on Google & Co. are often maintained for a much longer time, bringing new customers to your site without much additional effort.

A "conversion" refers to the moment when regular visitors to a site become active visitors. A conversion can look very different depending on the objectives: one visitor purchases a product, another inquires about an offer, a third reserves a table, and a fourth comments on or likes an article. But that is exactly what good SEO aims to achieve. Because it is not just the number of visitors that makes the difference, but their engagement.

Because search engines, especially Google, are increasingly placing greater value on it - and rightly so! What does a user gain if the content is relevant to their search query, but they cannot read it on their smartphone? An epileptic person is also not helped if the website contains glaring or flashing content (e.g., in videos or sliders). And if the page does not load with a poor internet connection (keyword: Germany), then no one is pleased with that either. Therefore, responsiveness, accessibility, loading time, and many other technical factors are playing an increasingly important role in a page's ranking in search engines.

Backlinks are links that lead from other websites to your own website. These can be entries in directories or links placed in online articles, for example. However, it is important to note that not every link is equally good and useful. There are now various identifiers for links, such as "noopener" or "nofollow," which are also taken into account by search engines and reduce the value of backlinks. The relevance and trustworthiness of the linking domain also play a significant role, as do the link text and the linked subpage. Achieving a natural distribution of as many good backlinks as possible is the high art of search engine optimization.

That's okay—but keep in mind that SEO does not work like a light switch. Our motto is one that is also found in the Bible: "Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." Those who currently have enough customers should invest in SEO to avoid having to resort to much more expensive and less sustainable measures like search engine marketing later on.
